Bet Number Betting

The red/black system is a form of Martingale (double up on successive bets) system and is one of the better known roulette systems around. Your bets for this system are on either red or black, with your pay out 1 to 1 (i.e. double your money for a win) It is worth bearing in mind that your chances of winning each bet are just under 50/50 (remember the 0 and 00 that gives the casino its advantage)You begin by choosing a colour and placing your bet on either red or black. Be sure to make your first bet a small one. If you win, keep your winnings and place your starting bet again. If you lose, double your stake and place a bet on the same colour again. If this bet wins, your net result after two bets is the same as if you had one you initial bet. Keep your winnings and begin with your starting stake again. If your second bet loses, double your stake again, and continue doing this until your colour does come up, at which point your net win from the string of bets will be the same as if you won your starting bet.Now you know why it is important to start with a small bet. It doesn抰 take too many losing bets in a row for your bet amount to climb to quite a big number. But keep your nerve, the key is being prepared to continue to double up until you have a win. Also be very aware of the table bet limit - if you reach this before you have a win then you stand to lose a considerable amount.

As per normal poker rules - playing and betting proceeds in a clockwise direction.

All Players must first ante before they receive their initial cards, except the $0.50/$1 game which has no ante.

There are four betting rounds in a complete game of Five-Card Stud, not including the ante.

On the first round of betting, the Player with the lowest value door card "brings-in" and starts the betting - equal to at least half the minimum bet for the game. In proceeding rounds, the Player with the highest hand initiates the betting. If hands tie, the Player to the left of the dealer acts first.

Betting increments in the game determine the bets. In a game of $2 and $4 betting increments, the first two rounds of betting and raising are set at the lower level of $2, the other three rounds of betting and raising are set at the higher level of $4.

The maximum allowable number of bets per Player during any betting round is four. This includes a (1) bet, (2) raise, (3) re-raise, and (4) cap. The term cap is used to describe the 3rd raise in a round since betting is then capped and can't be raised further. Once capped, Players will have only the option of calling or folding.

In betting rounds where Players have folded, the first active Player left of the Disc/Dealer is first to act.

1 - Red Or Black This bet is very simple, you predict if the number the ball lands on is going to be red or black. Odds are 1:1.
2 - 1-18 Or 19-24 Predict if the number the balls lands on will be in the lower half (numbers 1 to 18) or the upper half (19 to 30) If 0 or 00 shows up then you lose no matter what half you have picked. The odds are 1:1.
3 - Odd Or Even Choose whether you think the number will be odd or even. 00 and 0 do not count. The odds are 1:1.
4 - 1st 12, 2nd 12 or 3rd 12 The numbers are split into 3 sets of 12 and you choose which section the number will be in. 0 and 00 are not included in the bet. Odds are 2:1.
5 - Column 12's The same as the above but the 12 are going downwards so they are not in order. Also pays 2:1.
6 - Number Bet A chip is placed on one number so the only chance of winning is if that number comes out. Odds are 35:1, the highest paying bet.
7 - Corner Bet Chips placed where the corners of 4 numbers meet so if one of the 4 numbers surrounding your chip shows up, you win. Odds are 8:1.
8 - Between Two Numbers The chip is placed on the center of the line in between two numbers. If one of the numbers show up you win. Odds are 17:1.
9 - Two Row Bet Placing the chip here covers two rows of numbers. For example, a chip placed where number 9 is would cover numbers 22 through to 27. Has to be placed on the right hand side on the line between the two rows you would like. Odds are 5:1.
10 - One Row Bet This bet covers three numbers, for instance if you placed a chip where number 10 is on the diagram you would be betting on numbers 19, 20 and 21. Odds are 11:1.
11 - 5 Number Bet The only place to make a 5 number bet on the board. This bet covers 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3. The odds are 6:1.
