Aztec Riches Casino has a nice balance between the bonuses and the competitions and drawings. They are offering a tiered bonus for new players on their first three deposits:

  • The initial welcome bonus is a 100% matching bonus with a minimum deposit of $20 and a maximum of $100.
  • The second deposit bonus is a 50% matching bonus with a minimum deposit of $20 and a maximum of $500.
  • The third deposit bonus is a 25% matching bonus with a minimum deposit of $20 and a maximum of $2000.

Their drawings and competitions are as follows:

  • Super Saturday – Cash prize drawing every 30 minutes
  • Power Power Poker – Sundays play Jacks or Better Power Poker
  • Turbo Charged Tuesdays – Play Five Reel Drive and win.
  • Wild Wednesdays – Cash prize drawing every 30 minutes
  • Thursday Thunder – Play Thunderstruck Slots and win.
  • Blackjack Bonanza – Monthly tournament

The Casino Action group likes to keep some information close to their chest. On the Aztec Rewards page they mention loyalty points and state the following: "The more you play, the more we pay! Bonus points are paid out in units of 1,000. Redeem 1,000 points for $10 or redeem 5,000 points for $50! Our Silver, Gold and Platinum VIP members can redeem their Rewards at a higher rate - meaning more cash every week." This sounds wonderful but means nothing. How do players earn points? Are there games that are better for points than others? I have no idea, and their customer service reps aren't telling. This does not make the rewards program much of an incentive for me to join.

Although the casinos have always had the home court advantage, that hasn’t stopped the near-do-wells from attempting to cheat the house. In the past, panels of one-way glass were installed in the ceilings over the casino floor. Surveillance people, often referred to as, “the eye in the sky,” would tread back and forth on narrow catwalks while looking down at the games. With binoculars in hand, they monitored both the players and the dealers for any signs of cheating. They maneuvered through spider webs and around posts and rafters in the dark. Today's modern casinos are outfitted with hundreds of cameras that can rotate, pivot and zoom in on a pinhead. These cameras are housed in those half-spherical bubbles that you see, mounted from the ceiling. They send video signals that are fed into dozens of monitors with videotapes rolling. Not all of the cameras’ signals can be shown on a monitor at all times. Just because the camera is on doesn’t mean that someone is watching it. The video can later be reviewed, but the cheat or thief may be long gone. The surveillance crew must switch back and forth between cameras, focusing more on the busy-betting areas and the cashiers’ cages. If the pit is suspicious of a cheat or if a high roller steps into the game, the boss will call up to surveillance to make sure they are watching the action at that table. Eventually, the whole system will be computerized. A network of several hundred tiny digital cameras will be mounted throughout the casino. As these cameras sense movement, they will begin processing a digital signal to a computer. Surveillance software will interpret any actions it senses and the most questionable of those will appear on one of several main monitors where a small surveillance crew will be stationed. Because the footage is digital and fully indexed, it can be immediately accessed and cross-referenced with other footage taken, even if it happened six months earlier. There would be no archived tapes to search through, no hours and hours of rewinding and playing of videotapes. Everything will be stored in one central database.

Street Bet or Three Number

Also called a street bet or a stream bet. This is when you are betting that one of threenumbers hits on the roulette wheel. The payoff for a bet like this is 11 to 1. So ifyou bet $10 and bet on either 13, 14, or 15 to hit, you would win $110 if any of thethree hit.

Square Bet

Otherwise known as a Four-Number bet. Like a three number bet, this is whenyou are hoping that one of 4 numbers that you bet on hits. The payoff on a betlike this is 8 to 1. For example, if you bet $4 on the numbers 22, 23, 24 and 25,then you would win $32 if the roulette ball landed on any of the four numbers.

Five-Number Bet

This is betting that one of these 5 numbers will hit: 0, 00, 1, 2 or 3. The payofffor this bet is 6 to 1, and can only be played on an American wheel. So if youbet $6 and one of them hit, you would win $36. This is a very poor bet andshould be avoided at all costs.

Outside Bets

These are bets that are placed outside the number grid, for instance, betting onRed or Black. You will find these bets on the part of the table closest to theplayer.

Red

Simply betting that the next spin lands on a red-colored number. The payoff forthis bet is 1-1, so if you bet $10 on red and the ball lands on a red number, youwould win your original $10 back, plus an additional $10 in winnings.
