After you have placed your ante you will be dealt 5 cards. The dealer will then receive four cards face down and one card face up. At this point, you may either bet if you think you can win or surrender if you feel that your hand is inadequate. If you bet, your bet will equal twice your ante. If you surrender, you will lose your ante to the dealer and the hand will end. The dealer will then reveal his cards, and one of two things will happen: he will either qualify, or he will fail to qualify. If the dealer does not have an Ace King combination or better in his hand, he will fail to qualify. (In other words, the dealer must have at least a pair if he does not have both an Ace and a King) If the dealer does not qualify, your will receive a 1 to 1 payoff on your ante and your bet will be returned to you. If the dealer does qualify, his hand will then be compared to yours. If the dealer's hand beats yours, you will lose your ante and your bet. If the dealer's hand and your hand are equal, no money will be exchanged. If your hand beats the dealer's hand, you will win even money (1 to 1) on your ante, plus a payoff on your bet based on the quality of your hand (see below) If the dealer and you both have the same hand (for example you have one pair and the dealer has one pair), then the winner is the one with the high ranking cards. If the dealer has one pair, for example jack, jack, ten, six and five and the player has one pair hand of jack, jack, ten, eight and four, then the player wins. Your original ante and bet in addition to any winnings will be displayed as separate piles of chips. The hand rankings in Caribbean poker are the standard poker rankings, listed from lowest to highest below:

1. As per normal poker rules - playing and betting proceeds in a clockwise direction.

2. The two Players to the left of the Dealer post the blind bets.

3. Small Blind (the Player who sits left of the Dealer) bets half the lower limit.

4. Big Blind (the Player who sits left of the Small Blind) bets equal to the lower limit.

5. Betting increments in the game determine the blinds. In a game of $2 and $4 betting increments, the small blind is $1, and the big blind is $2.

6. The blind bets in Omaha Hi-Lo are considered as active bets, and therefore, Players have the option to check, fold, call, and raise when the betting action returns to their position. (Exception to first round betting) First round betting - options are to fold, bet, or raise. Only one bet, and three raises per Player are allowed on the first round. Players cannot "check" in the first round, as Blinds are bets, and not antes.

7. Second and subsequent betting rounds - options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.

8. All bets must be placed in conjunction with the game's betting increments.

9. There are four possible betting rounds in Omaha Hi-Lo poker. Each bet and raise during the first two rounds is set at the lower limit of the stakes structure, and for the last two rounds at a higher limit structure. For example in a $1/$2 Omaha Hi-Lo game, all bets and raises are $1 for the first two rounds (after pocket cards are dealt and after the flop) All bets and raises are $2 for the last two rounds (after the turn and after the river), following accepted poker rules.

10. The maximum allowable number of bets per Player during any betting round in Omaha Hi-Lo poker is four. This includes a (1) bet, (2) raise, (3) re-raise, and (4) cap. The term cap is used to describe the 3rd raise in a round since betting is then capped and can't be raised further. Once capped, Players will have only the option of calling or folding.

11. In betting rounds where Players have folded, the first active Player left of the Disc/Dealer is first to act.

12. To ensure fairness for all online poker Players - new Players entering the Omaha Hi-Lo game will be required to post the equivalent of the big blind. All Players have the option of sitting out and waiting for the actual big blind before starting play.

13. By preventing Players from constantly entering poker games in a late position and leaving before they're required to post, these rules stop potential abuse of the online environment.

Players place an ante on the table. The ante is set by the card room, and is not applicable in games where increments are $0.50/$1.00.

3rd Street - three cards are dealt - two "hole" cards, and one visible "door card".

At this point, the Player with the lowest card must bring-in the betting.

First round of betting - options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.

4th Street - the fourth card is dealt - face-up.

Betting round - options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.

5th Street - the fifth card is dealt - face-up.

Betting round - options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.

6th Street - the sixth card is dealt - face-up.

Betting round - options are to check, fold, bet, or raise.

River Card /7th Street- the final card is dealt - facedown.

Final round of betting follows. If two or more Players are still vying for the pot when the betting concludes, the hands at the table are turned face-up

The Showdown! All remaining Players create the best possible five-card high and five-card low poker hand using: any 5 of the 7 Cards to create a high-hand or any 5 of the 7 Cards to create a low-hand

The two Players with the best high and low hands split the pot!
