Basic Rules of Play
The dice are tossed from one end of the crapstable to the other making sure that both dice bounce off of the back wall of thetable.

Moving in a clockwise direction, players take turns rolling the dice. TheShooter's first role is called the "Come Out" role. This Shootercontinues to role as long as he or she makes winning roles.

The "Come Out" role is very important in craps in that it establishesthe Shooter's "Point." "The Point" is the number that theShooter must role again before he or she roles a 7. A 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10establishes the point. Rolling a 7, 11, 2, 3 or 12 on the "Come Out"role results in the dice being passed to the next Shooter.

The Puck - This two-sided disc indicates whether or not a game is inprogress and if a "Point" has been established. The puck displays"OFF" and remains on the "Don't Come Bar" until a"Point" has been established by the shooter. The dealer then turns thepuck to the "ON" side and moves it to the numbered location on thecraps table to denote the "Point" number for this shooter.

Betting On Craps

Pass Line Bet - A simple and basic even money bet. You are betting thatthe first role of the dice will add up to 7 or 11. On this bet, a 2, 3, or 12loses the bet. Any other number establishes the "Point." The"Point" number has to be rolled again before a 7 comes up to win,otherwise, the bet is lost.

Basic Rules of Play
Players place their bets prior to the cards being dealt. Tables and onlinecasinos will have a minimum bet required to play the game. Once all bets areplaced, each player and the dealer will receive two cards. Starting to thedealer's left side, the cards are dealt in a round one at a time to each playerending with the dealer receiving his second card face down. Depending on thegame, the player's are either dealt their cards face up or face down.

Each card in Blackjack has a certain value. Card between 2 and 10 simply havetheir face value regardless of suit. Jacks, Queens and Kings always have a valueof 10. An Ace can count as 1 or 11 depending on what is most beneficial to yourhand.

Player's add the value of their cards and either decide to "Stick" or"Stand" with their current cards or receive another card, called a"Hit" or "Draw," hopefully raising their total closer to 21without going over.

Once all players have decided to "Stand," the dealer reveals the facedown card known as the "Hole" card. If the dealer's hand is between 17and 21, he or she may not draw any additional card. If the dealer's hand is 16or below, cards must be drawn until the dealer's hand has a value of 17 orhigher.

Blackjack Bets
Blackjack can be won in a few different ways. If your first two cards total 21,you have Blackjack and win 3:2 odds (A $5.00 wager pays 7.5 additional dollars)on your bet automatically unless the dealer draws Blackjack as well causing atie or a "Push." In the case of a tie, no money is won or lost. Youwin if your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. This type of win pays"Even Money" meaning that you win the same amount of money that youwagered. A $10.00 wager wins 10 additional dollars. Finally, if the dealer"Busts" or has a hand that exceeds 21 and your hand is less than 21,you win!

Double Down - A double down allows you to double your wager while youstill only have two cards in your hand. You are required to take one more cardonce you double down and cannot receive any additional cards after this. A handthat initially adds up to 10 or 11 is often the hand to double down on. Why? Theten card is the most frequently occurring card in the game of blackjack.Remember that the 10, Jack, Queen and King all have the value of ten multipliedby all suits. Because of this, there is a high chance that the third card thatyou receive will have a value of 10 bringing your hands value to 20 or 21.Pretty smart.

Splits - You can double your stakes another way by using a split. If youroriginal cards are of the same value (Ex. 7 and 7 or 9 and 9), you can splitthese two cards into separate hands creating two hands and a second bet equal toyour original bet. You now are playing two hands separately and increasing theirvalues by hitting each hand until you are ready to "Stand." The payoutfor winning on a split is always 1:1 or even money even if you have Blackjack.This is due to the fact that you did not get Blackjack using your original twocards.

Insurance - Insurance bets are not recommended for the basic player, asthe odds of winning with this type of bet are low. Insurance bets can be made ifthe dealer's face card is an ace. The dealer might have blackjack meaning thatyou automatically lose unless you also have blackjack, forcing a"Push."

Buying insurance means that you are protecting yourself in case the dealer hasblackjack. A $20.00 bet would cost you an additional $10.00 in insurance asinsurance normally costs half of your original bet. If the dealer does not haveblackjack on his turn, you lose your insurance wager and the hand continues tobe played normally. If the dealer does have blackjack, you lose your originalwager but win twice the amount of your insurance. In essence, you break even asinsurance pays 2:1 odds. Again, insurance protects you from losing money in casethe dealer has blackjack.

Things To Do Before You Gamble Online

Like all table games you can play at the casino, roulette has what are known as 'table limits'. These limits define how little you must bet at the table, and how much you are allowed to bet. You may be confused as to why casinos would limit the upper amount of what you may spend at one time when you play roulette, but that little secret is revealed on our roulette systems page. The lower limit at a roulette table comes into effect in two different ways: one for inside bets, and another for outside bets. You are required to play the table minimum at least on each of your outside bets; on inside bets the total of all of your bets must meet or exceed the table minimum. This bit of information is all you need to know in order to start to play roulette.

Inside Bets

As we know, there are two types of bet you can place when you play roulette: outside bets and inside bets. Lets start by looking at the inside bets. The inside bets are made up of specific numbers or combinations of numbers within the number layout, or along the border of it. Remember, the total of all of your bets must add up to at least the table minimum. This means if your table minimum is five dollars, you can put one dollar down on five different numbers and be ok. The same is not true for outside bets.

Straight-up bet - This is the bet you may think of first in roulette. Pick a single number, and if it comes up you win. This bet pays back at 35 to 1.

Split bet - This bet allows you to place a single bet on two different numbers if those numbers are beside each other on the table layout. To play this bet put your chips down on the line between them. This bet pays 17 to 1 if either of your chosen numbers come up.

Street bet - This bet is just like the split bet, but you're splitting over three numbers. You accomplish this by placing chips on the outside of the row of numbers you want to bet on. So if you want to bet on the numbers 1, 2, and 3 all at once, put your chips down on the line that is the outside edge of the 3. This bet pays 11 to 1.

Corner bet - The corner bet is another combination wager, letting you bet on four adjoining numbers. Placing your chips at the point where four numbers meet will indicate you want a corner bet. This is sometimes referred to as a square bet. If any of the four numbers come up, you're paid 8 to 1.

Fiver number bet - There is only one five number bet available, and as such, it's referred to as the five number bet. To play this bet put your chips at the intersection of 0 and 1 on the corner (not the corner that joins with two, but the other one) You can win if any of 0, 00, 1, 2, or 3 are hit. You are paid 6 to 1. Sadly this is bet has a higher house edge of any others when you play roulette.
