Cards Line

A payline is a 'line' on slot machine reels on which symbols must line up on in order to win. Some slot machines have only 1 payline, some have 3, others have 5, 9 and even 15! Generally speaking, you must pay a coin to play each line on a machine, but have the option of not playing all available lines. So, on a 3 line machine, you can play the center line for one coin - the center line and the line above it for two coins - or all 3 lines for 3 coins. If you don't play a specific line and a winning combination comes up on it - then you don't win.Classic slot machines have 3 reels and only 1 line - a horizontal payline that goes through the middle of each reel. You may be able to wager more than one coin per spin on these games - but the amount will apply to wins on the same payline. (You win more by betting more, but your chances of winning stay the same)Other 3 reel slots often have three paylines, one in the middle, one above it, and one below it. Betting 1 coin activates the middle payline, betting 2 coins opens up 2 paylines, and 3 coins plays all 3 lines on a spin.5 reel slot machines typically have quite a few paylines, from 5 to 15. These paylines aren't necessarily straight lines - there's diagonal matches and lines that actually bend. How the lines go differs from machine to machine, but the lines should be marked clearly on each game.

A roulette table with a single layout is usually worked by two "croupiers". A double-end table with two layouts is operated by either three or four croupiers. The croupier who spins the wheel and deals the game is called the "wheel roller" by casino employees. To keep it simple, we'll call him the "dealer" and his assistant the "croupier". A working example using a table with a single layout is as follows:
The dealer is in charge of the conduct of the game. His/her main duties are selling chips to players, spinning the wheel, throwing the roulette ball, announcing winners, collecting losing bets and paying winning bets. The croupier separates and stacks the losing chips that have been collected or swept from the layout by the dealer. He stacks the chips in piles of 20 of the same color and places them in the chip rack on the table's apron. He also helps the dealer pay off winning debts by stacking the correct number of chips in a convenient place to the left of the table's apron. All large casinos use an additional employee, the pit boss or inspector. He 'stands guard' in the pit ring, watches the game and is in charge of its conduct. He makes out cash-out, credit and fill slips, corrects any errors made by the croupiers or players and watches for cheating.

Roulette offers a wide variety of bets and betting options. The process of roulette betting is not a complicated one, and fortunately, unlike craps, you are given a good length of time at the table to choose where you want to lay your money down. Two types of betting you can practice at the wheel are called the outside bets and the inside bets. You are required to play the table minimum at least on each of your outside bets; on inside roulette betting the total of all of your bets must meet or exceed the table minimum. This bit of information is all you need to know in order to delve right into some roulette betting action. Lets start by describing each bet and how/where you play it. Roulette betting - outside bets
The outside bets on a roulette board are simply the bets that reside 'outside' of the main playing area of 38 numbers. There are no winning outside bets for 0 or 00 results. Different types of outside bets: Red or Black - you can choose to bet on the outcome either being a red number, or a black number. Place this bet right in the area with the words 'red' or 'black' in them, which should be easy to reach from beside the table. This is a very common form of roulette betting, as it is easy to understand that you have almost half a chance of winning. People often make the bet making the incorrect assumption that if 5 blacks were spun, there is a better than 50% chance the sixth spin will be red. This is not logical and the reason why is described in more detail on our
