Dealer Their Bet

Roulette is often considered to be one of the easier games to play in the casino. Unfortunately, with that label comes a host of players who think that means they don't need to pay attention at the table! This isn't exactly true, and those players are not employing the best of roulette strategies.Proper roulette strategies are not systems. A system is a methodology for betting which essentially gives you a set of rules to follow as you wager, supposedly (but not likely) altering the edge of the game, increasing the odds of winning. There are literally thousands of systems for roulette being sold around the world, but these should be ignored for the most part, and shouldn't be considered strategies. In general, systems are often faulty or pose potential risks that may not be obvious at first glance.Roulette strategies, as opposed to systems, offer methods by which to play, but simply as a guide, not as steadfast rules. Strategies do not claim to mathematically beat the house at all, they usually offer simpler advice on things like setting win and loss limits. As a smart gambler, one of the best roulette strategies you can employ is one that revolves around bankroll management. Take this example: a player starts with a bankroll of $100. To protect their investment they set a loss limit of $100, their entire session bankroll. This means if the player looses this money in the course of playing, they have set a personal rule to not return to the session after getting more money. The player also sets a win limit of $300, meaning if they manage to go $300 over their original bankroll they will stop playing, and limit the risk of losing those winnings in a downswing. This is as basic as roulette strategies get, but it is extremely effective, if you learn to follow your own rules.Slightly more advanced and protective forms of roulette strategies may involve something like a player starting with the same $100 bankroll, but limiting play to initial luck. This means they play through their $100 until they have either lost it all (same session loss limit) or won a predetermined amount. To keep things simple in this example, let's say the players predetermined amount is also $100. This means if the player wins $100 once they start playing, they will take their original $100 bankroll and put it in their pocket - they will then only be playing with their winnings. The player may choose to set a wins limit on their newly acquired bankroll, but the beauty of the strategy is that they have basically set a loss limit of zero. Once you pocket your original bankroll, even if you lose all you're playing with, you've lost nothing at all.

There are lots of different versions of poker but most have a lot of similarities the first is the object of the game. Which is to win the centre pot of money. Poker is Played with a communal pot and the pot contains all money contributed during a hand, including antes which are used to seed the pot before each hand begins.

All poker games consist of 52 cards from four different suits, which are clubs, hearts, diamonds and spades of thirteen cards each. The thirteen cards rank from lowest to highest as 2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 then jack, queen, king, ace (in many variations ace can also rank as the lowest card)

A poker hand begins with the dealer dealing out cards to each player (the amount varies with the type of poker being played) The game moves round clock-wise from the dealer the first player has two options check (also known as pass equivalent to a bet of $0) or bet. The second player can either call (a nonzero bet that matches the previous bet), check (a zero bet that can only be done if there were no previous bets on the table), bet or raise (a non-zero bet that all successive players must match) or to fold which is done when the player does not wish to match the previous bets made. A player that folds forfeits their interest in the pot. Betting proceeds until either all bets have been called or all but one player has folded. The poker rules for the specific game may limit the number of raises allowed. However if only two players are in the pot they can keep raising each other indefinitely. At the end of the last betting round, all players who are left in the hand have a showdown in which the player with the best hand is awarded the pot. It is normally the player who made the last bet or raise to show his hand first in the showdown. The other remaining players then show their hands in a clockwise fashion. Players that have folded do not need to show their hands, players that know they are beaten can just concede the pot. Very often a hand won't reach the showdown stage as all the other players fold before it reaches that stage.

If two hands are exactly equal with all five cards matching then it is a tie with the pot being split evenly among the winning hands. Suits are not used to distinguish between the hands.

Surrender

If, after viewing your original two cards and the dealer's up card, you feel that your chances of winning the hand are not good, you will have the option to "surrender" the hand. If you choose to surrender, you will automatically lose half of your original wager; the other half will be returned to you. Play of the hand will cease, and the deck will be reshuffled.

NOTE: If the dealer was dealt a Blackjack, the "surrender" option will not be available.

Double Down If, after viewing your original two cards and the dealer's up card, you feel that your chances of winning the hand are good you can choose to double the amount of your original wager. You will be dealt exactly one additional card and play will pass to the dealer.

Split

If you are dealt two cards of the same value (8-8, A-A, 10-K, etc.), you may choose to split the cards into two separate hands. An additional wager equal to your original wager will be placed next to the additional hand.

A second card will be dealt to the first of the split hands. This hand will be played out, with all the normal options available (surrender, double down, etc.) When you have finished playing the first hand, the other split hand will then be dealt a second card and played out as usual.

NOTES: Only one split is allowed per deal.
NOTES: A split-hand Blackjack will pay off at 1:1 instead of 3:2

Insurance

Whenever the dealer's up card is an ace, the insurance option will be available. When you buy insurance, you are insuring yourself against the possibility that the dealer has a blackjack. Insurance is an additional wager equal to half of your original bet.

If the dealer has a Blackjack, the insurance will pay off at 2:1. Your original bet will be lost, unless you also have a Blackjack, in which case the hand will push.

If the dealer does not have a Blackjack, you will lose the insurance wager and the hand will be played out as usual.

Before any cards are dealt, the player must wager. He does this by placing his bet in the designated space in front of his table position. The dealer then deals two cards to each of the players, and two to himself (one of the dealer's cards is dealt face up and one is dealt facing down) Face cards (kings, queens and jacks) count as 10, ace counts as one or 11 (as the player chooses) and all other cards are counted at their face value. BLACKJACK - If the player's first two cards are an ace and a 10 or face card, he wins. However, if the dealer also has a blackjack, it is a standoff, as are all ties or pushes. A winning blackjack pays the player 3 to 2.HIT or STAND - Hit means to draw another card (which the player signifies by scraping the table with his cards or a similar hand motion) Stand means no more cards (which the player signals by placing his cards under his wager or moving his hand in a horizontal direction. If the player hits and busts (goes over 21), he immediately turns his cards over and his wager is lost. DOUBLE DOWN - The player is allowed to double the bet on his first two cards and draw one additional card only to improve his hand. SPLITTING PAIRS - If the first two cards a player is dealt are a pair, he may split them into two separate hands, bet the same amount on each and then play them separately. Aces receive only one additional card. After splitting, A-10 counts as 21 and not as blackjack. INSURANCE - If the dealer's up card is an ace, the player may take insurance, a bet not exceeding one-half his original bet. If the dealer's down card is a 10 or any face card, the player wins 2 to 1. Any other card means a win for the dealer.SURRENDER - Where permitted, a player may give up his first two cards and lose only one-half his original bet. The dealer must draw on 16 and stand on 17.

7 Sultans Casino have gone out of their way to make sure that they have more great features than any other Microgaming casino. The first of these features is their express download. Due to the amount of games that Microgaming offer, their casinos can often take quite a while to download (13mb) 7 Sultans is the first Microgaming casino we have found that offers the express download option of 5 mb, making it one of the fastest Microgaming casino downloads available.

The interface is well themed and offers just about every single game that Microgaming make. With a massive 75 games on offer, 7 Sultans Casino have hours of entertainment lined up for you! Any of you slot junkies out there will love their 44 slots, 4 feature slots and 5 progressives. The slots are great fun and many of the themes will have you in stitches!! There are 'table 1' and 'table 2' versions of both roulette and blackjack. For any of you who aren't familiar with Microgaming, the 'table 1' is always the normal version of the game and we advise beginners to stick to this table whilst they learn some of the tricks of the trade. 'Table 2' has a higher minimum bet and therefore a much higher maximum bet, this is great for those of you 'old hats' who want to have a go at bringing the house down but be warned that you'll need a fairly hefty bank roll to play at this table!!

There has always been a significant difference between playing blackjack in a land-based casino to sitting at the virtual tables of the online casinos. Certainly in the past and still at most online casinos you are unable to bet on more than a single hand at once. 7 Sultans offer 'Multi-Hand BlackJack' which enables you to play up to 5 hands of blackjack simultaneously. This is our favourite way to play blackjack because it allows you to minimise your losses by using some of your hands to 'protect' the hands that are carrying a large wager.

7 Sultans is part of the Fortune Lounge casino group who are well known for offering great promotions and very generous start-up bonuses. 7 Sultans Casino is no exception to this and we've enjoyed every aspect of gambling with them. The huge stock of games and friendly customer service has kept us coming back to them time and again.
