From Player Game
Standard roulette game rules and playing methodology: Baccarat has a reputation for being a high rollers game and the tables are normally separate from the rest of the casino in there own section called the pit. Dealers normally wear tuxedos and the surrounding are is quite lavish. The game of baccarat is unlike most casino games as the is no level of skill involved the reason for this is that neither the player or dealer has any options or decisions to make during the course of the game. This means the game is quite simple especially as there are only three possible bets that can be made. The table layout is also quite simple and consists of fourteen numbered positions seven on each side of the dealer; the number thirteen is omitted as it is considered unlucky. Three dealers run the game and one of these is the caller who runs the game and stands between positions 1 and 15. Each player takes it in turns to deal from the shoe there is however no advantage to be gained from it and it is just part of the tradition of the game. Player put their bets on the numbered box in front of the players after the winner is called the other two dealers pay out or collect from the winners and losers around the table. When the bank wins the house claims a %5 cut of the winnings and the total amount is collected every time the shoe is reshuffled. Six full decks are shuffled together and the players sit according to a collective decision. The first player sits to the croupier's right arm and the other players are sitting beside him in a circular order by the predetermined resolution. The croupier shuffles the cards, hand them to the next player, who shuffles again and hand it to the next player and so on till the cards are back to the croupier, who then hands them to the player to his left. The player cuts the cards, hand them back to the croupier, he take a fair amount of the cards for later rounds and hands the rest to the player sitting to his right. When this amount of cards are depleted after a round or more he then put the first cards in the "basket", which is located in the center of the table, and he takes fresh cards from the ones left. The player holding the cards is the "banker". Notice that in Chemin de Fer the casinos do not interfere with the game, the croupier is managing the conduct of the game but otherwise he does not intervene. The banker is responsible for the amount he wins or loses. It is up to the banker to accept or decline wagers from the players, also he is responsible to distribute the winnings or to claim the pot in case he wins. The player with the highest stakes gets to play against the bank. If too players have equal stakes then the player who sits first respectively to the rotation plays. The banker deals two cards to himself and to the player, if one of them reaches a total of nine or eight he declares it out loud and the round stops and the bankers pay the punters' gains or claim the pot, if it was him who won. In Chemin de Fer a tie is neither a loss nor a win, the pot remains for the next round. If the banker lost the cards are moved to the next player in order, making him the banker, though he can decline his status and the cards move to the next player. If none declares the banker offers a third card and the round proceeds as following: A variety of approaches are used to tackle roulette. Strategies range from the obscure, to the deranged, and cover everything in between. The smartest roulette strategies however, don't seem to ever be published, and especially not on the world wide web. Books publishers selling roulette strategies would feel guilty if they only gave you the simple truth. Instead they spin elaborate strategies based on whatever variable they happen to pull out of the hat that afternoon. Far too often the same people then slap a label of 'roulette system' on their advice, and sell it for much more than they could get for a book. Don't fall for anyone selling a system. If there were a systematic way to beat roulette (by the numbers, not by identifying a dealer's signature) many math professors would drive nicer cars. Instead try to develop your own strategies for roulette. The best way to start is to test out any hunches you have had while playing. The only good way to do this is with the help of some free roulette software. The software also has to let you carry your bankroll from session to session in order for you to properly keep track of your wins and losses. The effectiveness of your strategy can only truly be measured by variable relating to your bankroll. Of particular interest of course, is weather or not you come out ahead in the long run; but almost as important is the degree of fluctuation your bankroll undergoes. When choosing between roulette strategies to try out, look for one that has you pay a lot of attention to your bankroll. Any system designed to distract you from your pocketbook is bad news.
