Game Machine Machines

Here's some advice to play the slot machines
1. Always load up a progressive machine. The progressives don't pay as often or as many of the small winning combinations that simple machines do, so you are actually playing for the jackpot only. In that case, you have to load them up in order to get the jackpot. Read the payout table! 2. Pay attention to the sound of the casino. Notice which slot machines are hitting and which aren't. oftentimes there will seem to be "hot" carousels and cold ones. Follow like sheep to the hot ones. 3. Play the progressives with the highest jackpots. It makes sense to seek the greatest reward if you're willing to take the progressive risk. As the change person for help in locating top jackpots. 4. Stake out a seemingly hot carousel and spend an evening (between dinner and second show time) watching how the machines do. Once you've seen enough, go to sleep. Then come back in the very early hours of the morning and hit the ones that have been played hard but haven't hit yet! 5. Resist the temptation to move up the pay scale when you're losing. Because slots have the worst odds, increasing your level of play can be the worst bet in the house! If you must keep playing, get off the progressives and find some simple nonprogressive (flat top) machines. 6. When you finally hit a jackpot¡ just sit there. Take a deep breath. Don't mistakenly pull the handle again or touch a button. Most jackpots, especially those that are $1,000 or more, are paid by an attendant who will come over to verify your win and pay you off in cash. There is one way to almost guarantee yourself a good time, satiate your appetite for slots, and possibly even come out ahead ,

Leung's version of the game differed slightly from the one we know and enjoy nowadays. Instead of using the numbers 1 through 80 on the ticket, each field was represented with a character, all of which were taken from the famous poem 'The Thousand Character Classic'. Many years ago, the poem was used as a means of teaching children reading and writing skills. The fact that not one of the thousand characters was mentioned more than once was recognized as a great achievement. The characters were organized in a way that rhymed and made the poem easier to remember but being able to recite it on your own was a skill in itself. The poem was so popular throughout China that some people used it as a way of counting from one to a thousand. So, having used the first 80 characters from the poem, Leung did in fact use one through eighty as they are represented today. The history of keno in North America started with the Chinese immigrants who worked on the railroads. As part of their customs and individuality, they brought the game over to keep themselves entertained and to carry on some of their Chinese traditions. At first, the game was illegal because of the anti-gambling laws; still, it was very popular among the Chinese immigrants, where it was known as Chinese lottery. When the country legalized most types of gambling in 1931 though still not lotteries, the name was simply changed to 'horse race keno', suggesting that the numbers were horses and you were betting on the one that would come in. The game's association with horse racing earned it the name 'racing game', which is still largely used among keno operators today. A few years later, the American government decided to tax off-track betting, so the name was changed once again to offer a better profit. And that's how the game got its name - Keno.

The object of the game is to throw a 7 or 11, which are winning throws and avoid throwing 2,3 or 12, which are losing throws. The shooter must establish a point number; point numbers are the numbers 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 when one of these numbers is thrown then a point has been established and the shooter plays against this number and if they get point before hitting a seven then they win. Any player can bet on the throw of the dice and can either bet on the shooter or on the house. In an attempt to bring something new and different to the slot player, some variations on the basic slot machines have been introduced. Some of these include:Progressive machines:
These multiple-coin machines do not payoff a set payoff rather the jackpot increases with each play. If no one has hit the jackpot for some time the jackpot can grow to gargantuan size. While the odds are small the payoff can be huge. One note, if playing at a casino and you are lucky enough to hit a big one, do not leave the machine. The machines are programmed to pay only a percentage in coins the rest of the winnings will be paid out by a check issued by the casino. Stay at the machine until a casino employee comes over to the machine, should you leave some scam artists are all too willing to quickly sit at the machine and claim that the payoff is theirs.Double or nothing machines:
Some slots have added a wheel that can be played after a win. These doubling wheels are even bets, you have a 50/50 chance of doubling (or losing) your winnings. They do not change the house edge on the machine, but do add a bit of spice to the game that some players enjoy.Nudge machines:
Have a light mounted on them that comes on occasionally. If on the player may move (nudge) a wheel forward or backward one location. Sometimes this is all that is required for a losing hand to become a winner. The house edge on these machines is generally the same as for regular slots.Wheel-of-Fortune Machines:
These machines contain a wheel mounted on top of a slot machine and also a sizable progressive jackpot. When the winning symbols appears on the slot machine the wheel spins and the player has a chance at winning the wheel-of fortune jackpot.
