Goal Bet Player
Punto Banco is actually Player Vs Banker. There are only two hands participating in this version and the real choices you can make are where to put your bets and that's all there is to it. The player has no options; the cards are dealt according to the rules, which can be found a little further in this article. The cards are dealt, two to each hand, when the player gets the first card. After this the next cards are dealt. Rules:
- If the player has a total of up to 5 he can draw another cards, otherwise, if has a total of 6 or 7 he stands, else, meaning he has 8 or 9 it is a 'natural' and not the player or the banker can draw another card.
- The rules for the banker are a little harder to memorize but they are not complex: If the bank holds a total of up to 2 the he draws another card. In case of total of 3 he draws if the third card of the player is '8'. In case of total of 4 he draws if the third card of the player is 2 to 7. In case of total of 5 he draws if the third card of the player is 4 to 7. In case of total of 0-5 and the player's total is 6 or 7 and he stands then the bank draws another card. In case of total of 6 he draws if the third card of the player is 6 or 7. In case of total of 6 and the player have a total of 6 or 7 he stands. In case of total of 7 he stands without drawing a third card. In case of total of 8 or 9 it is again a natural and no cards are dealt further. Bets:
As you can see, the game is predetermined from the initial two cards. After the wining hand is called the croupier will pay as following – a 1:1 will be paid to wining bets on players and 95% on bankers (the house's commission) A tie bet will earn 1:8 ratios. Notice that if a tie ("Egalite" in French) occurs, then bets on player or banker are not taken by the croupier. In some casinos a banker wage will be paid even, but in case of the banker's total is 6 then the wining wagers will be paid only half of their bets. The Table:
The table is employees are the croupier, who manages the game, and two dealers. The dealers are responsible for the bets. They collect, pay and charge commissions. The player with the highest bet plays as the player. The role of the banker is ceremonial, as the shoe passes from player to player. The banker is instructed by the croupier all along the round. Also, the banker can bet on himself, on the player or on a tie since his part in the game is truly ceremonial. Final notes:
This variation of baccarat is usually played by high rollers who play is separate parts of the casino in private secured and luxuries rooms. The minimum bets varies from 25$ to 500$ while the maximum is ten grand. Since the dealing of the cards is predetermined so do the odds, which are, in case of a six card decks game: A player's bet has a house edge of 1.24%, the banker bet a 1.06% and the tie bet has a 14.44% house edge.

In an attempt to bring something new and different to the slot player, some variations on the basic slot machines have been introduced. Some of these include:Progressive machines: These multiple-coin machines do not payoff a set payoff rather the jackpot increases with each play. If no one has hit the jackpot for some time the jackpot can grow to gargantuan size. While the odds are small the payoff can be huge. One note, if playing at a casino and you are lucky enough to hit a big one, do not leave the machine. The machines are programmed to pay only a percentage in coins the rest of the winnings will be paid out by a check issued by the casino. Stay at the machine until a casino employee comes over to the machine, should you leave some scam artists are all too willing to quickly sit at the machine and claim that the payoff is theirs.Double or nothing machines: Some slots have added a wheel that can be played after a win. These doubling wheels are even bets, you have a 50/50 chance of doubling (or losing) your winnings. They do not change the house edge on the machine, but do add a bit of spice to the game that some players enjoy.Nudge machines: Have a light mounted on them that comes on occasionally. If on the player may move (nudge) a wheel forward or backward one location. Sometimes this is all that is required for a losing hand to become a winner. The house edge on these machines is generally the same as for regular slots.Wheel-of-Fortune Machines: These machines contain a wheel mounted on top of a slot machine and also a sizable progressive jackpot. When the winning symbols appears on the slot machine the wheel spins and the player has a chance at winning the wheel-of fortune jackpot.

Blackjack Terms Blackjack means any combination of your first two cards that total 21 To ask the dealer to Hit on a hand, is to ask for another card. When the player tells the dealer they want to Stand , they are telling him that they don't want any more cards. If the player has been dealt a pair, they are able to Split the pair, and play 2 separate hands at the same time. (Some house rules will not allow you to split Aces, or Aces more than once) Hard hand is when the ace can only be counted as 1. When a player Doubles Down , they are doubling their bet and asking the dealer for ONLY one more card. Regardless of what the card is, the player must stand after doubling down. The player is given the choice of asking for Insurance , if the dealer has been dealt an "A" face up. By asking for Insurance, the player is making a side-bet that the down-card could be a 10 point card, giving the dealer 21. It has been stated many times, that Insurance is a "sucker bet" and to NEVER make this bet. Surrender is the only play at the blackjack table that requires a "verbal" response. If the player is dealt a hand that looks particularly dismal, they can surrender half the bet and end their play. This is also referred to as a "sucker bet", and some casinos don't even recognize it.(There are a few instances that a very skilled card counter can use this bet to their advantage) . A push or tie occurs when the total of your cards are the same as the dealers without going over 21. You do lose and you can change your bet on the next hand. Soft hand is when the ace can be counted as 1 or 11

False logic of the Martingale system Many people become consumed by the seemingly intuitive math behind the martingale roulette system (which can also be applied to other games) The system works as follows: on even money outside bets with a near 50-50 chance, bet once. If you lose, place a bet for twice as much on the same spot. If you lose again, double the previous amounts bet. In the end, the theory is your bet has to win at some point and if you have kept doubling down on losses, the last bet will recoup everything you've lost and add an even money win on the original wager, putting you ahead, if just a little. The logic here is riddled with problems. First of all, in roulette you can't have a pure 50-50 chance bet because of those pesky green pockets. That fact aside, the system would seem like it has some legs, from a logical point of view. What roulette system sellers don't want to you realize is, the casinos have already guarded against any Martingale users by placing table limits on the bets. Ever wonder why there is an upper table limit? Don't the casinos want you to risk large amounts of money? The Martingale system is the exact reason for a table high existing. Following the Martingale method, you keep doubling your bets on a loss, and after a short string of losses in a row your bet is extremely large. From $5, to $10, $20, $40, $80, $160, $320, $OVER the table limit. So on the last bet before you can no longer double, you are putting $320 on the table with a potential for making $5… are you crazy? And what if you lose that last bet, you're out $635 bucks, if you win you're only up $5, ouch. This is a serious flaw in applying any Martingale type system to a casino game with upper table limits. My opinion on any roulette system is the same as my opinion on all other systems. For the most part they do not do what they purport (or say) to do. Now, I'm not saying they are useless, in fact they do usually have a use, and that's to spread your money around multiple bets, which often has the beneficial effect of stretching your money out over a longer period of time. There is no value in attempting to employ a roulette system to 'beat the casino', because if you were smart enough to, the casinos would likely put you to work for them, and that has very little to do with how casinos hire. I have nothing against looking at some more serious attempts to bring the advantage towards the players. One of these techniques is the search for biased wheels. There is some merit to this endeavor. I'm sure a few people have made real money off of a biased wheel, but the effort involved is phenomenal. Casinos spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on a roulette wheel, and don't have any desire to replace it every year. Over a long period of time it's possible that the detailed engineering that went into the roulette wheel's construction has degraded from extensive use. Once this happens, a tilt in the wheel or any one of a million small but consistent anomalies may arise. If you had a computer to measure the exact spinning patterns of a roulette wheel, you could record results consistently and try to determine any patterns that repeat. If there are, you can alter your play to exploit this advantage. Biased wheels are not just hard to find, but even if you do, they are difficult to take advantage of. You would be required to have a mini-computer watching the wheel at least initially to find the bias, and modern casinos monitor their entire floor for any electronic device emitting a signal. Online is a different story of course, and many software applications exists that monitor online casino roulette wheels for biases. The problem is, the online casinos have this software too, and most likely test the heck out of their software before releasing it. You can find some of this type of software in our

So now that you have set your session start amount and you have decided on a betting system, you are ready to start thinking about setting goals and the action you will take when you reach those goals. Determine Your First Goal Deciding on what your first goal should be for a session is a little like deciding how much you will bet on each spin. The higher your goal is, the higher your risk is, primarily because the higher a goal is the longer it may take to achieve. And once again, the longer you are exposed to the game, the more likely it is that the house will get your money. Therefore, if you have a $100 session start amount and your bet start amount is $5 then setting a goal to double your money is not practical. A goal of 10-30% is achievable, however. Don't worry if this doesn't sound like a lot, we are not done yet. Determine Your First Goal Action Next you need to decide what you will do when you reach your goal. There are two basic choices. The first is the simplest. You take your money and leave the table! This is the least risky thing to do and will ensure you keep everything you won. Now some of you are probably saying, stop after winning only $30? You must be kidding. Let's go back to our investment analogy. A broker tells you he has a great deal. He only needs your investment for half and hour or so and you will gain 30%. Will you take that or will you tell him your not interested unless you will gain 50-100%. I think you will most likely take the thirty. The second choice you have after reaching a goal is to pocket some of the money and continue to play. After all, if you feel you are on a winning streak, you don't want to stop. By pocketing, we mean take the money out of play for the session. Set it aside and don't touch it again. On your first goal, you should always pocket at least the entire start amount. This protects your initial investment and allows you to use it again at another session. You should also pocket some portion of your winnings as well. Recurring Goals If you decide you want to continue to play, there are three more decisions you will need to make: - What will your next goal be
- How much will you pocket when you reach the goal
- How will you adjust your betting system
There are several considerations for setting recurring goals. As we said before, the larger the goal, the greater the risk. Similar to the issues in betting systems, the higher the goals you set the higher the risk in your session. Smaller goals are easily reached but they leave less money in play after the pocket. Here are several approaches: - Set new goals by a fixed amount
When you reach a goal, add a fixed amount to the total bank amount to set the new goal. For instance, you could set a new goal that is $20 greater every time you reach a goal. - Set new goals by an increasing amount
When you reach a goal, add an increasingly larger amount. So, on a first goal, you might add $20. When that goal is reached you might add $40 and then $60 and so on. As we said before, you also need to consider how much you will bet when you reach a goal. If you are using a flat bet system, you could increase the bet amount by some factor on each goal level. If you are using a progression betting system, you may want to reset the betting back to the start amount. In any case, you will need to coordinate the bet amount with the amount left in play after pocketing. This is the best way to allow for continued game play without risking your hard earned cash.
