Player Double

Baccarat has a reputation for being a high rollers game and the tables are normally separate from the rest of the casino in there own section called the pit. Dealers normally wear tuxedos and the surrounding are is quite lavish. The game of baccarat is unlike most casino games as the is no level of skill involved the reason for this is that neither the player or dealer has any options or decisions to make during the course of the game. This means the game is quite simple especially as there are only three possible bets that can be made. The table layout is also quite simple and consists of fourteen numbered positions seven on each side of the dealer; the number thirteen is omitted as it is considered unlucky. Three dealers run the game and one of these is the caller who runs the game and stands between positions 1 and 15. Each player takes it in turns to deal from the shoe there is however no advantage to be gained from it and it is just part of the tradition of the game. Player put their bets on the numbered box in front of the players after the winner is called the other two dealers pay out or collect from the winners and losers around the table. When the bank wins the house claims a %5 cut of the winnings and the total amount is collected every time the shoe is reshuffled.

Blackjack Terms Blackjack means any combination of your first two cards that total 21 To ask the dealer to Hit on a hand, is to ask for another card. When the player tells the dealer they want to Stand , they are telling him that they don't want any more cards. If the player has been dealt a pair, they are able to Split the pair, and play 2 separate hands at the same time. (Some house rules will not allow you to split Aces, or Aces more than once) Hard hand is when the ace can only be counted as 1. When a player Doubles Down , they are doubling their bet and asking the dealer for ONLY one more card. Regardless of what the card is, the player must stand after doubling down. The player is given the choice of asking for Insurance , if the dealer has been dealt an "A" face up. By asking for Insurance, the player is making a side-bet that the down-card could be a 10 point card, giving the dealer 21. It has been stated many times, that Insurance is a "sucker bet" and to NEVER make this bet. Surrender is the only play at the blackjack table that requires a "verbal" response. If the player is dealt a hand that looks particularly dismal, they can surrender half the bet and end their play. This is also referred to as a "sucker bet", and some casinos don't even recognize it.(There are a few instances that a very skilled card counter can use this bet to their advantage) . A push or tie occurs when the total of your cards are the same as the dealers without going over 21. You do lose and you can change your bet on the next hand. Soft hand is when the ace can be counted as 1 or 11

The Roulette table is composed of two sections, the wheel itself and the betting layout, better known as the Roulette layout. Heading the layout design is a space containing the figures 0 and 00. The main portion of the design is composed of 36 consecutively numbered rectangular spaces, colored red and black alternately, arranged in three columns of 12 spaces each, and beginning with 1 at the top and concluding with 36 at the bottom.

Located directly below the numbers are three spaces marked 2 to 1. Along one side of the columns are rectangular spaces marked 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12. Further outside are spaces labeled 1 to 18, 19 to 36, Odd, Even, and two diamonds colored Red and Black. Each space, individually or in combination with other spaces, represents a possible wager.

The Roulette wheel, has 38 small compartments, called canoes, divided by partitions called frets. The compartments correspond to the numbered spaces on the table layout. Pairs of odd numbers are alternated with pairs of even numbers and individual spaces alternate between black and red. The two zeros are green in color and are placed at opposite ends of the wheel.

The wheel is set into motion by the Roulette dealer, called the croupier, and a small ivory ball is sent spinning in the opposite direction around the inside rim of the wheel. As the ball and the wheel begin to slow, eventually the ball comes to rest in one of the 38 canoes and represents the winning number.

• Pair - When a player has two cards the same such as two 8's. Ties are broken using the 'High Card'.
• Two Pairs - A hand consisting of two pairs such as two 8's and two 10's. Ties are broken using the 'High Card'.
• Three Of A Kind - Three cards that are the same numberwise. No need for the high card as there is only four of each value per deck.
• Straight - All 5 cards consecutive but not in the same suit. For example, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. If two people have a straight then the highest straight wins. If more than one person has the same straight then they split the pot between them.
• Flush - Any 5 cards of the same suit, the numbers do not matter but if more than one person has a flush then the one containing the highest card wins.
• Full House - Two cards of the same value and three cards of the same value such as 7, 7, Queen, Queen, Queen. The highest wins.
• Four Of A Kind - Four cards of the same numerical value such as four 10's. No need for the high card as there is only four of each value per deck.
• Straight Flush - Five cards of the same suit in numerical order such as 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 of hearts. The higher the straight the better.
• Royal Flush - Five cards of the same suit, MUST be 10, Jack, Queen, King, Ace.
• Five Aces - Five Aces plus the joker.

The winning hands table of the two card hand is very straightforward and relies upon whether the two cards are a pair or not. The best hand is two aces and then two kings, two queens, two jacks etc. etc. the same ranking order applies to single cards. If a players 5 card hard is of a higher ranking than their 2 card hand then they are automatically dropped from the game and they lose their bet. When everyone is finished setting their cards, the bankers cards will be turned face up by the dealer and then the banker has the job of sorting the seven cards out into a 5 card hand and a 2 card hand. When the banker is finished his two hands are then compared to each individual players hands starting with the player who recieved his cards first. To win, both of the players hands must beat the bankers, they can not be the same. If one hand beats the bankers and the other doesn't then it is a tie and no money will exchange hands.
